Silvan Bennett
Silvan has loved singing his whole life, and has been formally trained as a contemporary vocalist since he was 8. He joined APA as a student in 2018, where he honed his vocal and performance skills while also studying music through a specialist program at his high school. Throughout his years as a high school student he accumulated many valuable musical experiences and performances, including performing as a touring backing vocalist for WA artist ‘Bloom’, representing his school at a Gala held at the Crown Ballroom, and earning a Certificate II in Music Industry.
Now majoring in Contemporary Voice in the Bachelor of Music at WAAPA, he performs regularly as a singer & guitarist for his band “Rocks & Rhubarb.” He is also a member of the prestigious WAAPA Gospel Choir, having performed with Australian music legends Guy Sebastian, Gary Pinto, Mama Kin and Dingo Spender, which has fuelled his keen passion for teaching and arranging harmonies.
APA has been an invaluable community for Silvan through his development as a vocalist and as a performer, he finds great joy in delivering that experience to current APA students!

Sophia Watkinson
Sophia has been a part of APA since 2021 and has never been without the presence of music in her life. She began learning the violin at age 3, continuing music studies throughout high school.
Sophia writes and sings for local bands Fish Kiss and Rocks & Rhubarb and is completing a Bachelor of Music (music artist major) at WAAPA. APA brought a lot of musical and performing strength to Sophia, and she looks forward to giving back to the choir and fostering the same strength for many more students to come, to hone their aural and singing skills through complex 4-part harmony arrangements of their favourite songs!!
ANIKA CAYAGO
Anika has been with the Australian Pop Academy since 2015, a dedicated and passionate student of 10 years before emerging into her role as a junior choreographer for the school. Anika has competed for dance both interstate and internationally across Vietnam and Japan with The Society Dance Company as a valued member of their crews. She is known for her strong work ethic and creativity, continuing to grow as both a performer and choreographer.
